Focus on analyzing large datasets, exploring customer, weather, EV, and emerging-technology impacts, and contributing to forecasting tools and Databricks analytics.
Location: Denver, Colorado, with in-person commuting required under the hybrid work policy
Salary: $19.50–$24.00 per hour

What you will do
- Support load research and energy and demand forecasting projects by gathering, reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing data.
- Contribute to analysis supporting resource planning, budgeting, regulatory filings, rate cases, and business decisions.
- Explore the effects of customer behavior, weather, electric vehicle adoption, climate, and emerging technologies on energy use.
- Help improve forecasting tools, reports, recurring research processes, and analytics migration into Databricks.
- Document work and communicate findings to team members and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Current college or university student with junior status or higher as of fall 2027.
- Enrolled in an accredited program in statistics, data science, economics or econometrics, applied mathematics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, environmental studies, public policy, or a related quantitative or technical field.
- Able to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer, up to 20 hours per week during the school year, and commute to the designated location in person.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and exposure to statistics or statistical modeling.
Nice to have
- Experience with Python and pandas, R, SQL, or Databricks.
- Interest in the energy or utility sector.
- Experience working with large datasets and strong attention to detail.
