Data Engineer (Snowflake): Building and optimizing scalable data pipelines, Snowflake warehouses, and automated ELT infrastructure with an accent on data quality, modeling, and reliable ingestion. Focus on designing high-performance data workflows, automating API-based transformations with Python, and troubleshooting critical pipeline failures.
Location: Lincoln, Nebraska, United States; hybrid work with in-office presence three days per week for associates living within 30 miles of an office location.
Annual compensation: $100,000–$115,000 depending on experience.

What you will do
- Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines moving data into and out of warehouses.
- Design Snowflake databases and schemas for analytical workloads.
- Extract, parse, clean, and validate data from databases, APIs, flat files, and other source systems.
- Implement scalable automated ELT ingestion pipelines and maintain data quality and integrity.
- Contribute to data model implementation and participate in technical design discussions.
- Own critical pipelines, monitor failures and data gaps, and collaborate with analysts, product owners, developers, and other data engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience with data integration tools such as Python, Rivery, dbt, or PowerBI Dataflows.
- Experience with Snowflake, including streams, tasks, file formats, and performance tuning.
- Strong SQL and Python skills, with experience designing scalable ELT pipelines and API-based ingestion.
- Knowledge of data modeling principles, including star and snowflake schemas, slowly changing dimensions, and normalization.
- Must already be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Experience in the finance sector.
- Experience with PowerBI data architecture, dataflows, and refresh logic.
