What you will do

  • Provide independent counsel on employment contracts, recruiting, benefits, discrimination and harassment, discipline, leave, wages, working hours, and working conditions.
  • Serve as the primary legal contact for EMEA employment matters and advise business partners on risk mitigation.
  • Partner with Human Resources to develop, implement, and improve employment policies and procedures.
  • Monitor employment-related legal, regulatory, and legislative developments across EMEA and translate changes into updated processes.
  • Support internal HR investigations by providing guidance to ensure they are thorough, fair, and defensible.

Requirements

  • Law degree from a reputable and accredited institution.
  • Qualified lawyer with at least 10 years of employment-law experience, ideally across multiple EMEA jurisdictions.
  • Practical knowledge of employment contracts, benefits, discrimination and harassment, discipline and grievances, and leave and absence matters.
  • Ability to independently assess and mitigate legal risk and advise senior stakeholders.
  • Strong HR-partnership, communication, analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and drafting skills.
  • Fluency in English and the local language of the jurisdiction is required.
