Software Engineering Intern (Cybersecurity)

Location: Mountain View, California; hybrid work at an hirify.global office location determined by the team and role

Salary: $35.50–$81.92 per hour

What you will do

• Design, build, and test front-end, back-end, or full-stack systems supporting cybersecurity.
• Write clean, well-tested production code and participate in code reviews.
• Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, and Copilot.
• Debug defects and trace issues across the technology stack.
• Collaborate with engineers, security specialists, and product managers to turn requirements into working software.
• Support deployment and ongoing maintenance of shipped features.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program with graduation after the internship ends.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for the full duration of the internship.
• Familiarity with AI tools and interest in applying AI to real-world problems.
• Comfort with Git-based workflows, code review, Agile methodologies, and the software development lifecycle.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, initiative, and task-delivery skills.
• The internship lasts 12 weeks, with available cohorts from May 17 to August 6, 2027, or June 14 to September 3, 2027.

Nice to have

• Exposure to React or other front-end frameworks.
• Exposure to AWS or GCP.
• Security domain knowledge.
