Mechanical Associate (Automotive)

Location: US TX BluCar Internal Sales 589

Pay: $28.73 per hour

What you will do

• Conduct comprehensive mechanical inspections of engines, transmissions, suspension, brakes, electrical systems, and other vehicle components.
• Use diagnostic equipment and visual inspection techniques to identify mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues.
• Perform light repair work and document inspection results and repairs in proprietary software.
• Follow inspection, repair, quality, safety, hazardous-material handling, and PPE procedures.
• Coordinate with Vehicle Inspectors, Cosmetic Inspectors, and Auction Coordinators to support auction operations.
• Provide professional service to internal and external stakeholders regarding vehicle condition and repair status.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience with automotive mechanical inspection, diagnostics, and light repair.
• Knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, hand and power tools, and computerized inspection and repair systems.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, adaptability, and ability to work independently or collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Education or certification in automotive technology or a related field.
• ASE A1, A4, and A5 certifications.
• Experience in a dealership, automotive repair shop, or similar environment.
