TL;DR
Backend Developers (Python and JavaScript/TypeScript): Designing and evaluating production-realistic coding tasks for a leading AI lab with an accent on backend development, testing, refactoring, and migration. Location: Peru — fully remote
Compensation: $45–$80 per hour; hourly rates are estimates based on anticipated project completion time.

What you will do
- Design and implement multi-file coding tasks covering bug fixes, feature development, refactoring, migrations, and testing.
- Write clear specifications and reference implementations.
- Develop and extend unit and integration test suites.
- Review peer-generated tasks for correctness, clarity, and realism.
- Identify edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure modes.
- Align specifications, code, and expected outputs.
Requirements
- Advanced professional written English proficiency.
- 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go.
- Backend or full-stack experience with production systems.
- Experience with testing frameworks, debugging large codebases, code reviews, refactoring, and production migrations.
