TL;DR
Machine Learning Engineer (AI) (Machine Learning/AI): Building production-level ML and AI solutions, internal AI products, and scalable model pipelines with an accent on cloud architecture, software engineering, and model optimization. Focus on leading AI product development, scaling Data Science models into production, and making architectural decisions across cloud and big data environments.
Location: Antwerp, Belgium; willingness to travel and work with local and international clients is required.

What you will do
- Lead an internal team developing AI products and shape the Machine Learning Engineering expertise.
- Build production-level ML and AI solutions with strong software engineering practices.
- Make architecture and design decisions for cloud environments.
- Scale Data Scientists' models into production through parallelization, optimization, tuning, testing, and wrapping.
- Work as a Machine Learning Engineering expert on multidisciplinary client projects and collaborate with Dutch, French, and global teams.
- Deliver training, lead meetings and workshops, and contribute to conferences, blog articles, and press communications.
Requirements
- MSc-level education in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience building production-quality ML or Deep Learning pipelines and models.
- Strong Machine Learning fundamentals and expertise in a domain such as Computer Vision, Deep Learning, or NLP.
- Expert Python skills plus at least one of Scala, C++, or Java; experience with SQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure; Unix command line, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Spark, Hadoop, or Databricks.
- Fluent spoken and written English is required, with the ability or strong willingness to become professionally proficient in Dutch. Coaching or mentoring experience and strong project, time-management, communication, and collaboration skills are required.
