Fraud Operations Intern

Location: Denver, Colorado office with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week

Salary: $26 per hour

What you will do

• Review and investigate proactive and reactive suspected fraud alerts using internal and external tools.
• Conduct end-to-end fraud investigations and determine whether cases involve fraud.
• Apply data analysis, critical thinking, and pattern detection to identify emerging fraud trends and detection methods.
• Communicate findings and emerging trends to relevant stakeholders.
• Document investigation rationales, make referrals to other teams, and occasionally communicate with customers about active investigations.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled full-time in a degree-seeking program in Business, Accounting, Criminal Justice, Psychology, or a related field.
• Expected graduation in Winter 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Interest in fraud investigation and fraud typologies such as account takeover, identity theft, and money movement fraud.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, written communication, verbal communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as product, engineering, legal, compliance, or financial crimes.
