IT Engineer (Studios)

Location: Birkirkara, Malta; on-site studio and hardware support

What you will do

• Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot studio and network hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
• Assemble, repair, and support in-house studio technology, including CCTV, AV equipment, and network infrastructure.
• Provide hands-on assistance and technical recommendations to the Studio Department and Technical Operations team.
• Handle hardware support tickets and emails, document incidents, and prepare technical reports for stakeholders.
• Train studio personnel, write operating procedures, and support smooth 24/7 studio operations.
• Participate in a bi-weekly on-call schedule and respond to studio emergencies outside office hours.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience installing and troubleshooting Windows and Linux operating systems, desktop hardware, and network equipment.
• Experience working in an Active Directory environment and using tools such as Wireshark or a multimeter.
• Effective written and spoken English required.
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment, use common hand and power tools, and lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. (23 kg).
• Willingness and ability to travel occasionally within North America and internationally.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power over Ethernet devices, including CCTV cameras.
• Experience running and terminating Cat5, Cat6, coaxial, and similar cables.
• Previous experience in a studio or technical operations environment.
