Platform Core DevOps Engineer - Infra (Kubernetes/Kafka): Building and operating self-service infrastructure platforms for globally distributed web applications, APIs, and backend services with an accent on Kubernetes, Kafka, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud infrastructure. Focus on managing geo-distributed container and messaging platforms, scaling infrastructure, diagnosing complex performance issues, and supporting reliable operations through on-call coverage.

What you will do
- Manage Infrastructure as Code for core platform infrastructure, including Kubernetes clusters, Kafka backends, and infrastructure tooling.
- Build self-service infrastructure platforms and provide developers with tooling to manage applications across environments.
- Strengthen and operate the container platform and geo-distributed Kafka messaging platform.
- Improve platform efficiency, performance, scalability, and reliability based on business needs.
- Analyse and resolve complex infrastructure issues while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Participate in an on-call support schedule.
Requirements
- Strong experience setting up and administering Kubernetes clusters; AWS EKS and Rancher RKE experience is preferred.
- Strong experience managing and configuring Kafka infrastructure in geo-distributed environments.
- Experience managing cloud infrastructure with Terraform, including Terraform modules and workflows.
- Experience with AWS and services such as EC2, ALBs, VPC, and EKS.
- Experience building scalable, distributed infrastructure and managing code through versioned source control.
- Experience with Prometheus/Grafana, Linux, scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell, and ITIL and DevOps practices.
