Lead Game Designer (PC/Console/Mobile)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; hybrid work model

Salary: €70,000–€75,000 per year

What you will do

• Define and execute the game vision with the Creative Director, Studio Manager, Game Manager, and other team leads.
• Direct the game tone, gameplay, meta structure, and overall player experience.
• Lead the game design team and coordinate mechanics, progression, and level design.
• Collaborate with Art, UI, Tech, Online, Data, Audio, Production, and Human Resources.
• Plan resources and roadmaps with managers and producers.
• Participate in recruiting game designers and mitigate risks to quality and innovation.

Requirements

• 6+ years of game design experience, including lead or principal game designer positions.
• At least two released titles as a lead, principal, or senior game designer.
• Experience designing 3Cs and gameplay systems for PC and console action genres.
• Experience prototyping with Unity or Unreal.
• Expertise in meta-game and progression systems, balancing, UI/UX, level design, and narrative.
• Fluent English, with strong communication and leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with racing or action games.
• Experience across PC, console, and mobile platforms.
• Experience with premium games and games as a service, including DLC, subscription, or free-to-play models.
