Technician IV-Equipment (Gas and Abatement)

Location: Gresham, Oregon, United States. Full-time front day compressed work week: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday, 6:00 AM–6:15 PM. Training takes place primarily on a modified back day shift before transitioning to the front day shift. Travel for training may be required.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain specialty and bulk gas systems, distribution manifolds, abatement equipment, and vacuum dry pumps.
• Operate forklifts, perform gas cylinder changeouts, segregate and dispose of hazardous waste, and handle vacuum dry pumps.
• Support equipment installation, layout, qualification, startup, and commissioning.
• Diagnose system issues and communicate effectively across different teams.
• Work with electrical, mechanical, liquid, and gas hazards while maintaining strong troubleshooting and safety practices.
• Participate as an active member of the Fab 4 Emergency Response Team.

Requirements

• AA degree in a technical field, equivalent military training, or a technical degree.
• 5+ years of experience in gas and abatement.
• Electronic and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to apply theoretical concepts in practical settings.
• Creative problem-solving, decision-making, organization, documentation, and writing skills.
• Competence with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Must pass the ERT physical, fit test, and medical clearance for use of a tight-fitting SCBA full-face respirator; must be able to maintain the physical requirements for wearing it.
