Senior Design Engineer (Drivetrain): Designing and supporting transmissions, torque converters, gearboxes, and axles for large mining trucks and off-highway equipment with an accent on product development, manufacturing support, and drivetrain platform ownership. Focus on managing Creo and Teamcenter assemblies, resolving production and supply issues, releasing engineering drawings, and deploying product robustness and cost-reduction initiatives.
Location: Onsite five days a week in Decatur, Illinois or East Peoria, Illinois, United States
Salary: $112,710–$169,060 per year

What you will do
- Design and support drivetrain systems including transmissions, torque converters, gearboxes, and axles.
- Communicate design changes through content definition and design reviews.
- Provide engineering support for supply assurance, manufacturing, current product issues, and new product introduction.
- Manage large assemblies in Creo and Teamcenter and release engine arrangements and platform-owned drawings.
- Investigate production issues, manage design control requests, and track issue resolution dashboards.
- Evaluate parts resourcing and cost-reduction projects while deploying product robustness initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an accredited engineering, computer science, or materials science program.
- Experience with computer-aided design and engineering tools and product design through production.
- Strong analytical thinking, technical problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work onsite five days a week in Decatur, Illinois or East Peoria, Illinois.
- Visa sponsorship is not available.
- Travel requirements are less than 10%.
