Excise and Energy Credits Tax Intern (Tax)

Location: San Diego, United States; travel to assigned client locations is required

What you will do

• Support tax engagements across accounting for income taxes, accounting methods and periods, corporate taxation, federal credits and incentives, individual taxation, mergers and acquisitions, pass-through entities, private clients, and nonprofit organizations.
• Complete tax planning and research.
• Prepare federal and state and local tax returns.
• Interpret tax regulations and accounting pronouncements.
• Collaborate with engagement teams in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• At least 90 completed credit hours.
• Currently pursuing a B.A. or B.S. degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
• Accounting major.
• Ability to travel to assigned client locations and arrange reliable transportation.
• Strong written and verbal communication, computer, teamwork, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; a minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
