TL;DR
Field Service Engineer (TX) (Automotive AI and Computer Vision): Installing, configuring, calibrating, and servicing automated vehicle inspection systems at customer sites with an accent on electrical, mechanical, networking, Linux, and safety requirements. Focus on leading contractors, troubleshooting integrated hardware and software systems, validating deployments, and maintaining reliable operation in constantly changing field environments.
Location: Dallas, TX; field-based with 100% travel across customer locations in the United States, with US FSE coverage also involving the United States and Canada
Salary: $32–$38 per hour, excluding bonuses, incentives, and benefits.

What you will do
- Lead on-site installations and direct third-party contractors while meeting engineering, timeline, safety, and quality requirements.
- Install, configure, calibrate, and validate inspection systems across electrical, mechanical, networking, and civil components.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and integration issues in the field.
- Perform preventive maintenance and emergency service to maximize system uptime.
- Review site layouts and technical drawings, identify discrepancies, and document installation and service work.
- Act as the primary technical contact for customers and collaborate with Engineering, R&D, and Operations.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a Field Engineer, Field Service Engineer, or Field Technician supporting hardware and software installation and deployment.
- Hands-on experience with civil works, networking, electrical wiring, and mechanical assemblies.
- Working knowledge of Linux-based systems and basic networking principles.
- Experience reading site layouts and technical drawings using AutoCAD, Autodesk, or similar tools.
- Ability to lead contractors, provide technical direction, create documentation, and enforce on-site safety requirements.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 100% across the United States and Canada; valid driver's license required.

- Technical certification or trade school training.
- Basic familiarity with Linux systems.
