Waihi Summer Internship – Surveyor

Location: On-site at the Waihi Operation in Waihi, New Zealand

What you will do

• Work with the Survey team on diverse field and office-based tasks across surface and underground operations.
• Use a variety of surveying equipment and technology in a mining environment.
• Gain practical experience through real-life projects related to surveying studies.
• Participate in group activities and projects with other interns to develop knowledge of the mining process.
• Present internship experiences and key learnings to the Site Management Team.

Requirements

• Be in the second-last or final year of a Diploma or Bachelor of Surveying.
• Maintain strong academic performance and demonstrate passion for surveying.
• Have unrestricted New Zealand working rights.
• Be available from mid-November 2026 through mid-February 2027.
• Hold a full Class 1 driver's licence; manual driving ability is preferred.
• Demonstrate communication, interpersonal, teamwork, independent-working, and collaborative skills.
