Senior Technology & Model Risk Manager (AI Governance)

Location: Enact Headquarters, Raleigh, North Carolina — hybrid schedule with in-office days Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

What you will do

• Lead the Model Risk Management Framework, model inventory, governance processes, and Model Governance Committee.
• Perform, coordinate, or oversee independent model validation using quantitative, statistical, and analytical techniques.
• Support the evolution of the AI Governance Framework, including AI risk assessments, monitoring, governance processes, and regulatory readiness.
• Provide risk oversight and advisory support for strategic, technology, operational, and transformation initiatives.
• Identify emerging risks, interdependencies, and systemic themes across model risk, AI, technology, data governance, operational resilience, and third-party risk.
• Prepare executive reporting, dashboards, governance materials, and presentations with actionable risk insights.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field, with coursework or experience in analytics, data science, or quantitative methods.
• At least 8 years of experience in model risk management, model validation, quantitative analytics, data science, AI/ML, technology, or related risk disciplines.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, risk, governance, and control skills, with the ability to assess complex and emerging risks.
• Ability to provide independent challenge, influence risk-informed decisions, and collaborate with business and technology stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex concepts into clear insights for senior leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience overseeing AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, or other technology-enabled business capabilities.
• Experience building, implementing, or maturing governance programs and enterprise oversight frameworks.
• Relevant certifications such as FRM, PRM, CFA, CISA, or CRISC; an advanced degree or specialized training in AI and emerging technologies.
