TL;DR
Operations Readiness Lead (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing): Leading the design and set-up of parenteral drug product manufacturing operations for a new greenfield facility with an accent on cGMP compliance, facility and process design, and operational readiness. Focus on building and developing multidisciplinary teams, supporting commissioning, qualification, validation, and technology transfer, and solving complex start-up challenges during a project requiring frequent travel.

Location: Wilson, North Carolina, United States; full-time on-site support required. Facility design will take place at an engineering firm with more than 75% travel required until the project transitions to the Wilson plant site.

What you will do

  • Lead the design and set-up of manufacturing operations for parenteral drug products in compliance with cGMP, ISO, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support manufacturing process and area design for a new greenfield facility.
  • Plan operations activities to meet business, customer, and production schedule requirements.
  • Shape site outcomes and the future organization as part of the project leadership team.
  • Lead and sponsor multifunctional teams while developing talent and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Support commissioning, qualification, validation, and technology transfer for new products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or an equivalent technical field; a master’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • At least 12 years of experience in pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated operations, including parenteral drug product manufacturing.
  • Experience leading transformational change, influencing stakeholders, and managing cross-functional partnerships.
  • Experience managing diverse, multidisciplinary teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and talent-development skills.
  • Ability to provide full-time on-site support in Wilson, North Carolina and travel more than 75% during the facility design phase.
