Junior Identity & Access Engineer (Early Talent) (Microsoft Entra ID)

Location: Prague, Czech Republic; candidates must be based in Europe and work European business hours

Duration: 3 months. Start date: January 2027. Eligibility: Current university student, recent graduate, or early-career specialist. Applicants must be authorized to work in the Czech Republic and provide proof of employment eligibility.

What you will do

• Process access requests, including group membership, license assignment, and permission changes, using documented runbooks.
• Execute onboarding and offboarding checklists and verify completion.
• Triage sign-in and access issues by reproducing problems, reviewing sign-in and audit logs, and escalating clear summaries.
• Assist with application onboarding by testing non-production SSO configurations, validating SCIM attribute mappings, and documenting results.
• Administer Google Workspace users, groups, organizational units, and licensing.
• Automate recurring identity reports with PowerShell and Microsoft Graph, maintain documentation, and prepare handover notes for US-hours engineers.

Requirements

• Completed or final-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, MFA, single sign-on, groups, permissions, and least privilege.
• Basic scripting in PowerShell, Python, or Bash, with an intention to specialize in PowerShell.
• Methodical troubleshooting, clear written communication, and disciplined documentation.
• Based in Europe and able to work European business hours with regular overlap with US-based colleagues.
• Written and spoken English at B2 level or higher; authorization to work in the job location is required.

Nice to have

• SC-900, AZ-900, or MS-900 certification.
• Experience with a homelab, Microsoft 365 developer tenant, or Google Workspace trial.
• Internship or part-time experience in IT support, service desk, or infrastructure.
• Basic Git and hands-on exposure to Microsoft Entra admin center or Google Workspace Admin console.
