Analyst - Sanctions Processing

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; hybrid work arrangement with 4 days in the office

What you will do

• Investigate data and review potential matches generated by sanctions screening applications.
• Perform sanctions and Politically Exposed Persons screening adjudications.
• Document match-resolution rationales and assign appropriate reason codes.
• Escalate system anomalies, deficiencies, backlogs, and compliance matters to the relevant regional or local teams.
• Coordinate exemption requests and participate in periodic training.
• Meet quality assurance standards and service-level agreements.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in a similar role within banking, financial services, or insurance.
• Knowledge of sanctions compliance and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and proficient Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient English required for reading, writing, and speaking.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize workloads, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines and SLAs.
• Willingness and ability to work rotating night shifts and attend the office 4 days per week.
