Creative Director of Art & Design (Tobacco)

Location: Newport Beach, California, United States; hybrid with office attendance an average of four days per week

Salary: $100,000–$230,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and empower a multidisciplinary team of art directors, designers, and copywriters.
• Oversee concepts and execution for packaging, print, out-of-home, and direct mail campaigns.
• Manage long production timelines and annual calendars across client accounts.
• Prepare and deliver portfolio and case study presentations with clear creative and strategic rationale.
• Travel periodically to collaborate with stakeholders across locations.

Requirements

• Proven Creative Director experience in an agency environment.
• Deep packaging design expertise and extensive experience in print, out-of-home, and direct mail.
• Experience working in structured, production-heavy environments with long-term schedules.
• Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to explain strategic context and craft rationale.
• Comfort and willingness to work on tobacco industry accounts.
• Willingness and ability to accommodate occasional required travel.
