Automotive Technician

Location: Centerpoint; onsite automotive service role in the United States. Form I-9 employment eligibility is required, and temporary work authorization or sponsorship may disqualify candidates.

Salary: $16.63–$24.99 per hour through a performance-based flat-rate compensation model.

What you will do

• Change oil and perform scheduled vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries and check electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance and install vehicle parts.
• Road-test vehicles and assist with repair procedures.
• Explain repair procedures to customers and answer service questions.

Requirements

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
• Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Basic knowledge of automotive maintenance and tire repair, including oil changes, inspections, and tire repairs.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.
• Obtain or maintain an A.S.E. certification in at least one area from A1–A8 within the first two years of employment.
• Must complete Form I-9 employment eligibility verification; temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify employment.

Nice to have

• Two years of automotive repair experience.
• Completion of a related vocational-technical program.
• A.S.E. certification or equivalent training or assessment credentials.
