Principal, Workforce Innovation (AI)

What you will do

• Lead a rolling 12–36 month plan for how roles, teams, and functions should evolve across the enterprise.
• Design future-state roles and human-in-the-loop operating models, defining system ownership, human responsibilities, escalation triggers, and quality controls.
• Build task-level workforce analyses covering volume, time, cost, judgment, constraints, skills gaps, and workforce-planning implications.
• Manage the workforce innovation roadmap, prioritize initiatives, align senior stakeholders, and drive adoption and implementation.
• Measure productivity, quality, cost, retention, ROI, and P&L impact using workforce and business analytics.
• Design, prototype, and ship AI-powered workflows, agents, copilots, and automations for the People team while establishing reusable patterns and an AI Center of Excellence.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of experience in workforce planning, organizational design, work design, operations or process transformation, or technology-enabled operating model change.
• Hands-on experience building, testing, iterating, and measuring AI agents, copilots, or workflow automations.
• Strong quantitative skills, including task-level time and cost modeling, business-case construction, scenario modeling, and workforce data analysis.
• Experience managing multi-workstream roadmaps and influencing senior leaders without direct authority.
• Demonstrated experience redesigning roles or functions and implementing measurable changes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Business, or a related field; equivalent practical experience is considered.

Nice to have

• Background in HR, People Operations, or another human capital function.
• Experience in value-based care, healthcare, or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience with Workday, especially Skills Cloud, Talent Marketplace, or Workforce Planning.
• Training in Lean, Six Sigma, human-centered design, or service design.
• Familiarity with AI regulations related to employment decisions.
