Medical Scientific Liaison (Infectious Diseases)

Location: Mexico City, Mexico; remote field-based work with hospital and healthcare-professional engagement

What you will do

• Lead non-promotional peer-to-peer scientific exchange with hospital-based healthcare professionals and key stakeholders.
• Generate, document, and communicate medical insights that inform strategy for the anti-infectives portfolio.
• Engage infectious-disease, intensive-care, emergency, microbiology, pharmacy, and infection-control stakeholders on antimicrobial stewardship, healthcare-associated infections, and antimicrobial resistance.
• Develop relationships with key opinion leaders, academic centers, medical societies, investigators, and speakers.
• Support investigator and site identification, investigator-sponsored research proposals, local publication input, pharmacovigilance activities, and inspection readiness.
• Prepare scientific materials, support congresses and educational programs, and collaborate with Medical Information, Drug Safety, and cross-functional medical teams.

Requirements

• Medical degree required; specialty training in Clinical Microbiology, Infectious Diseases, Intensive/Critical Care Medicine, or Emergency Medicine is strongly preferred.
• More than 2 years of experience as a Medical Scientific Liaison or in another field-based Medical Affairs role, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Knowledge of antimicrobial stewardship, antimicrobial resistance, healthcare-associated infections, infection control, antimicrobial PK/PD, clinical microbiology, diagnostic stewardship, and relevant guidelines.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.
• Experience engaging hospital-based healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, medical societies, academic centers, and institutions.
• Strong scientific presentation, teaching, communication, analytical, teamwork, adaptability, and project and budget administration skills.
