Director/Senior Director Design, Denim

Location: New York, NY; 4 days a week in-office

What you will do

• Define the creative vision and design direction for the denim collection in partnership with the Co-Founders, SVP of Apparel, and RTW leads.
• Own the end-to-end denim development process from initial concept through final production.
• Lead silhouette architecture, fabric innovation, wash development, and construction standards while protecting design integrity and meeting quality and margin targets.
• Partner with Product Development, Technical Design, Production, and Merchandising to build a cohesive and commercially successful assortment.
• Build relationships with domestic and international factories, mills, and vendor partners.
• Mentor the denim team and foster a collaborative, creative, and motivating environment.

Requirements

• 10–15+ years of denim experience in a leadership position.
• Expert knowledge of product development, fits, washes, and fabrics.
• Strong understanding of global manufacturing, sourcing, and vendor management.
• Clear creative point of view with the ability to drive business results.
• Deep knowledge of the denim market, competitors, and retail landscape.
• Ability to work in the New York office 4 days per week; domestic and international travel as needed.
