Advisory Research Consultant (Asset Management)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Hybrid schedule with at least four days per week in the office and up to one day per week working from home.

Salary: $120,000 per year base pay, with potential bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Increase asset management sales through intermediary distributors by securing placement on discretionary and nondiscretionary research platforms.
• Execute sales activity, deepen research department relationships, expand analyst networks, and advance platform placement opportunities.
• Partner with senior colleagues on strategic initiatives and ongoing client service alongside sales and marketing teams.
• Work with Product Management and Investment teams to communicate commercially viable strategies and share client and industry feedback.
• Analyze recommended lists and model portfolios to identify opportunities and risks, and prepare competitor and market analytics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• FINRA Series 7 and Series 63/66 or Series 65/66 licenses.
• Demonstrated interest in capital markets and understanding of the mutual fund research process.
• Strong relationship-building, sales, communication, presentation, and organizational skills in asset management.
• In-depth understanding of investment analytics and experience analyzing mutual funds, recommended lists, or discretionary models.
• Valid U.S. work authorization is required without current or future visa sponsorship needs.

Nice to have

• Experience distributing mutual funds and/or SMA strategies.
• CFA designation or significant progress toward the CFA.
