Executive Director, Governance Risk & Compliance (Cybersecurity)

Location: Richardson, Texas, United States

Salary: $177,500–$329,800 annual base pay, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus

What you will do

• Set enterprise security risk and compliance strategy and own GRC outcomes across the company and its subsidiaries.
• Build and maintain the enterprise GRC framework, including risk, compliance, policy, third-party risk, and subsidiary governance.
• Lead enterprise attestations and certifications, including SOX, HIPAA, and HITRUST.
• Govern security policies, exceptions, security awareness initiatives, and third-party risk management.
• Oversee threat and vulnerability management, risk remediation, reporting, and continuous control improvement.
• Brief C-suite leaders and the Board, manage the security risk budget, and align Legal, Compliance, IT, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 15 years of experience in IT or information security, or 19 years of experience without a degree.
• At least 7 years of people leadership experience; multi-team leadership is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise GRC programs.
• Proven success briefing executives and the Board, owning budgets, and delivering cross-functional outcomes.

Nice to have

• Executive experience with HIPAA/HITRUST, SOX, and enterprise control frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, and ISO 27001.
