Data Analytics & AI Intern (AI)

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota; in-office collaboration at least four days per week, with flexibility to work from home one day per week

Salary: $27.50 per hour

What you will do

• Review business and operational data to identify trends, questions, and improvement opportunities.
• Help create and improve dashboards, reports, scorecards, and data visualizations.
• Support analytics for insurance, operations, and leadership decision-making.
• Explore practical uses of AI and automation to simplify recurring work and improve business processes.
• Organize findings and translate data into clear recommendations for technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Collaborate with business partners and present project learnings and recommendations at the end of the internship.

Requirements

• Current undergraduate student graduating in December 2027 or May/June 2028.
• Interest in data analytics, business analytics, artificial intelligence, data science, operations, finance, insurance, or a related field.
• Comfort working with information, asking questions, and solving problems.
• Clear communication skills with technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Must have valid U.S. work authorization that does not now or in the future require employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Coursework or exposure to statistics, analytics, reporting, visualization tools, databases, or AI-enabled tools.
• Exposure to data visualization, reporting, querying, or analytical tools.
• Interest in using AI and automation to improve business processes and decision-making.
• Curiosity, problem-solving skills, and willingness to learn unfamiliar business concepts.
