Enterprise Data Governance Lead (AI)

What you will do

• Manage data as a strategic product by defining ownership, accessibility, usability, taxonomies, and standard business definitions.
• Build and operationalize data owner, data steward, and decision-rights accountability models.
• Develop a foundational data governance framework covering data quality, documentation, democratization, cataloging, lineage, and lifecycle management.
• Govern data contracts, semantic-layer metrics, and KPI definitions to support reliable downstream products and analytics.
• Partner with Privacy, Information Security, platform, analytics, and product teams on data handling, access, protection, and audit readiness.
• Support AI-enabled travel use cases and create training programs that promote data governance and data democratization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience designing and implementing data governance frameworks, data product management, and standards.
• Experience establishing data owner and data steward accountability models, especially in organizations with immature or newly developing governance practices.
• Experience with data governance platforms such as Alation, Ataccama, or Collibra, and with data cataloging.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and enterprise governance software.
• Familiarity with semantic-layer or metrics-governance concepts, including metric definitions and KPI standardization, is preferred.

• Experience governing semantic layers and enterprise metrics.
• Experience building governance programs from an early or immature state.
