Senior Frontend Developer (JS/TS), Player

Location: Remote

Salary: from €3,500 net per month; final compensation depends on experience, skills, and role fit.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain frontend functionality for the video player team.
• Work primarily with vanilla JavaScript and TypeScript, with occasional Svelte development.
• Review code and investigate how existing systems work, including code supported by AI-powered tools.
• Work with client-side and server-side rendering.
• Occasionally maintain legacy PHP code while it is being phased out.
• Work independently and take ownership of frontend deliverables.

Requirements

• Strong command of vanilla JavaScript ES2015+ and a solid understanding of the language.
• Good knowledge of TypeScript 4+.
• Hands-on experience with at least one popular UI framework, such as React, Vue, or Svelte.
• Understanding of client-side and server-side rendering, object-oriented programming, and code reviews.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and investigate complex codebases.

Nice to have

• Experience with video-on-demand technologies, HTML5 video, or HLS.js.
• Understanding of backend development, particularly PHP and Node.js.
• Experience with LESS or SCSS and the BEM methodology.
• Experience writing tests with Jest and Testing Library.
• Understanding of asynchronous programming and multithreading.
