Managing Director - Cyber

Location: London, UK; hybrid work with three days per week in the office and two days at home

What you will do

• Lead the London Market and UK & Ireland cyber underwriting teams and execute long- and short-term business strategies.
• Shape underwriting, marketing, pricing, risk-selection, growth, and profitability strategies for the cyber portfolio.
• Provide senior oversight for complex and high-profile accounts while maintaining underwriting excellence.
• Build and maintain productive broker, client, community, and internal stakeholder relationships.
• Hire, develop, and retain a high-performing underwriting team while managing production and expense objectives.
• Represent underwriting strategy through broker engagement, market presentations, thought leadership, and industry events.

Requirements

• Extensive commercial underwriting experience.
• Previous managerial experience and strong knowledge of commercial products, operations, and broker distribution.
• Strong technical underwriting and marketing skills, including experience with competitive market conditions and financial results.
• Ability to define clear goals, make sound decisions, manage priorities, and direct the work of others.
• Exceptional quantitative reasoning, critical thinking, communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher education level preferred.
