Optical Assistant (Retinal Healthcare)

Location: Dublin City Centre, Dublin and surrounding counties, Ireland; regular travel to health centres and clinic locations is required.

What you will do

• Perform eye photography to help identify retinal damage caused by diabetes.
• Travel between health centres and clinic locations using a company vehicle.
• Work alongside Senior Diabetic Retinal Technicians, a Team Leader, programme seniors, and clinical support staff.
• Provide a consistently high level of patient care and professional service.
• Work largely unsupervised after completing initial training.

Requirements

• A full, clean Irish driving licence and own car are essential.
• Pre-existing right to work and travel within the EU is required; documentary evidence will be requested.
• Experience is not required.
• Customer care focus, initiative, prioritisation, problem-solving ability, and a proactive work ethic.
• IT literacy, including word processing, spreadsheets, and regular use of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills.
