Accounting Specialist

Shared service center supporting internal finance clients in Norway and Denmark.

What you will do

• Coordinate accounts payable processes from order to payment, working between the outsourcer and internal departments.
• Prepare month-end cost center accruals, prepaid expenses, VAT declarations, and trial balance activities.
• Oversee cash application, treasury accounting, cash management, and foreign exchange derivative processes.
• Coordinate with Treasury and Controlling on hedging contracts and support internal and external audits.
• Monitor service delivery against agreed SLAs, reporting requirements, deadlines, and data accuracy standards.
• Drive continuous improvement, process streamlining, change management, and development of PTP and cash application processes.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in multinational companies, preferably in a shared service center supporting Scandinavian subsidiaries.
• Knowledge of general ledger processes, multiple currencies, and currency derivatives.
• Proficiency in SAP and Excel.
• Hands-on experience with finance systems and processes, combined with the ability to implement improvements and new solutions.
• Fluent English required.
• Analytical, accurate, process-driven, deadline-oriented, and able to work across cultures and functions.

Nice to have

• Danish or Norwegian language knowledge.
• Experience supporting subsidiaries in the Scandinavian region.
