Laboratory Officer (Molecular Biology)

Salary: EUR 4,147.92 per month after tax and before 12.99% hirify.global social security deductions, plus additional paid benefits.

What you will do

• Establish, maintain, and engineer mammalian cell culture systems, including stable cell line generation through plasmid transfection and genomic integration.
• Develop and optimize low-input single-cell RNA sequencing workflows, including lysis, reverse transcription, and library preparation.
• Prepare and quality-control next-generation sequencing libraries and perform combinatorial indexing experiments such as sci-RNA-seq.
• Clone and engineer constructs in E. coli for downstream mammalian applications.
• Design and execute mammalian cell perturbation experiments, including CRISPR/Cas-based genomic engineering.
• Train laboratory members and support laboratory management, equipment maintenance, ordering, inventory, and protocol development.

Requirements

• Advanced degree from an accredited university or technical school, or several years of experience in molecular biology or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and standard tissue culture techniques.
• Experience with RNA-seq, sequencing library preparation, and next-generation sequencing workflows.
• Ability to troubleshoot experimental protocols independently and systematically while managing multiple collaborative experiments.
• Fluent spoken and written English is required; English is the working language at hirify.global.

Nice to have

• Experience generating stable cell lines and validating genomic integrations.
• Familiarity with single-cell genomic laboratory techniques.
• Bioinformatics or programming experience with Unix shell, R, or Python.
• Experience with CRISPR-based genomic engineering in mammalian cells.
