Instrumentation Engineer (Automatic Control)

Location: On-site in Astana, Kazakhstan. Business trips to different border areas are required, lasting approximately two months each.

A Kazakhstan-based branch of an international engineering and technology company delivering integrated project equipment and instrumentation systems.

What you will do

• Install and commission truck scales, fire protection systems, access control systems, and other project equipment.
• Perform daily maintenance and provide technical support for instrumentation equipment.
• Operate and support automatic control systems.
• Participate in on-site instrument adjustment and assist with equipment group installation and commissioning.
• Prepare, organize, and archive instrumentation-related system documentation.
• Complete assigned tasks independently and follow company rules and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in automatic control, electromechanics, instrumentation, measurement and control technology, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience and familiarity with electrical schematics.
• Experience with on-site instrument adjustment for engineering projects.
• Russian is required; at least one of English or Chinese is also required.
• Hands-on ability, basic proficiency with Word and Excel, and strong writing and reporting skills.
• Strong logical thinking, communication skills, and readiness for extended business trips.

Nice to have

• Experience with truck scales, axle weighing, access control, or fire protection systems.
