What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and support a diverse pre-sales Solutions Architect team covering Japan.
• Coach the team to communicate complex technical ideas clearly and deliver impactful, value-focused solutions.
• Collaborate with Sales and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and improve the customer experience.
• Establish best practices that increase team efficiency, collaboration, and business impact.
• Build trusted relationships with enterprise customers and partners as a strategic advisor in digital transformation.
• Represent Databricks on the regional leadership team and contribute to its local presence.

Requirements

• Experience leading or managing technical teams in Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS environments, or equivalent engineering or consulting experience.
• Experience coaching and developing diverse, high-performing teams.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Technical background in Data Engineering, Databases, or Data Science, preferably with consulting or customer-facing experience.
• Enthusiasm for data, AI, and cloud technologies, with the ability to connect them to business outcomes.
• Fluent Japanese is required; business-level English is strongly preferred.
