Manager, Narrative Writing (League of Legends)

What you will do

• Manage team growth, performance reviews, career development, and hiring for Narrative Writers and Editors.
• Provide regular craft feedback and uphold a high quality standard for writing and editing.
• Write and deliver narrative content across in-game voice-over and written materials, including champion stories, skinline thematics, minigames, and game modes.
• Partner with Narrative leadership and product teams to address challenges, improve team health, and increase creative efficiency and output.
• Contribute to writing and editing processes and long-term creative direction.
• Improve global multilingual narrative workflows, including sensitivity considerations.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional industry experience.
• 4+ years of game writing experience plus experience in at least one other narrative medium, such as prose, voice-over, comics, or interactive stories.
• 1+ years of management experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with other creative disciplines to deliver high-quality work.
• Experience creating content for translation into other languages.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the League of Legends intellectual property and its narrative formats.
• Experience creating story and game content within existing intellectual properties.
• Experience providing clear and actionable writing and editing feedback.
• Formal mentoring experience.
• Experience working on a live game.
