Senior Software Test Engineer (AI/Security)

Location: Remote across North America

What you will do

• Own end-to-end testing for new features from acceptance criteria through release-gating coverage.
• Translate ambiguous product requirements into concrete pass/fail scenarios and identify untestable requirements early.
• Architect and maintain parallelized, operator-facing browser test frameworks and fixtures integrated with CI.
• Test complete workflows across the operator portal, backend platform, endpoint agent, APIs, and service contracts.
• Curate automated and AI-generated test scenarios into trusted, runnable coverage.
• Report tested, failing, and at-risk areas and close coverage gaps.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, SDET, or quality engineering.
• Experience building a browser end-to-end framework from scratch and integrating it into CI.
• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript, with Playwright or an equivalent browser automation tool.
• Experience with API and contract testing, including Pytest and OpenAPI-driven testing.
• Ability to turn ambiguous requirements into concrete release-gating coverage and apply sound test-pyramid judgment.
• Clear communication and experience driving adoption of shared testing tools in a distributed team.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating AI- or LLM-generated test artifacts into trusted workflows.
• Docker-based test environments and familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• CI experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Virtualization and provisioning experience with Packer, QEMU/KVM, or VMware.
• Load and performance testing or a background in security and data-protection products.
