What you will do

  • Perform sanctions due diligence during client onboarding and periodic or ad hoc reviews.
  • Analyze true sanctions hits identified through client and transaction screening.
  • Assess exposure to sectoral sanctions, export controls, dual-use goods, and sanctioned industries.
  • Recommend acceptance, rejection, or escalation of client relationships and advise compliance colleagues and management.
  • Monitor sanctions regulations and news, assess new sanctions packages, and maintain related policies and procedures.
  • Support risk monitoring, reporting, targeted sanctions training, internal memos, presentations, and screening-system optimization.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of financial sanctions and good knowledge of Swiss banking and financial laws.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law or Economics, with an interest in data analysis.
  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in the financial industry.
  • Very good written and spoken French and English.
  • Analytical, methodical, communicative, and collaborative approach.
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills and the ability to prioritize work under high workloads.
