What you will do

• Distribute, deliver, refill, and return medications, including supplies for automated dispensing machines and nursing units.
• Compound sterile and non-sterile pharmaceutical products.
• Support prescription intake, over-the-counter sales, patient medication reconciliation, and pharmacy customer service.
• Inspect medication rooms, monitor refrigerator temperatures, and assist with controlled-substance transport.
• Maintain pharmacy records, read automated dispensing reports, and triage calls and requests.
• Work under pharmacist supervision and cross-train across pharmacy areas as needed.

Requirements

• Enrollment in an ACPE-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy program.
• Massachusetts pharmacy intern licensure.
• Completion of the first professional year of an accredited pharmacy program.
• Ability to read automated dispensing reports regularly.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the day, lift up to 30 lbs., and push equipment weighing 40–60 lbs.
• Ability to work around temperature changes, broken glass risks, and hazardous chemicals.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in an ambulatory or hospital setting.
