Staff Network Reliability Engineer (AI/Network Automation)

What you will do

• Own the reliability of physical data center fabrics, SDN overlays, and virtual network functions across hirify.global data centers.
• Define service level objectives and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Lead major network incident response and conduct postmortems that deliver lasting fixes.
• Build automation pipelines and tooling for network lifecycle management, patching, and service configuration.
• Apply AI to anomaly detection, automated diagnosis, configuration generation and validation, alerting, and remediation.
• Strengthen observability and contribute to lifecycle, upgrade, change-management, capacity, handover, and on-call practices.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience operating large-scale production data center networks: 5+ years for Senior level and longer for Staff level.
• Deep Layer 2 and Layer 3 knowledge, including BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, and BGP/EVPN.
• Experience with multi-vendor operations across Juniper and Cisco.
• Strong Linux fundamentals and experience with bash, tcpdump, iptables, and git.
• Experience building network automation with Python, Ansible, and GitLab CI/CD.
• Fluent English is required for international teams. German is a plus; a calm, ownership-oriented approach is expected.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with SONiC and NetBox.
• Experience or credible ideas for applying AI to network operations.
• German language skills.
