Business Analyst (VIE) (Power Derivatives)

Location: Oslo, Norway. The position starts in January 2027 for an initial 12-month period, with a possibility of extension.

What you will do

• Support the development and scaling of the Power Derivatives business through business development, market analysis, and project coordination.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Finance, Legal, Nord Pool, and hirify.global membership teams on cross-functional initiatives.
• Monitor the competitive landscape, analyse business performance, and prepare screening reports.
• Identify market opportunities and customer needs through research, client meetings, and conference participation.
• Support new-client onboarding and produce spreadsheets, presentations, and recommendations.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives, including new-market expansion and product launches.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent in business, economics, finance, or engineering.
• At least one successful internship or work experience in the energy industry, strategy consulting, or a fast-growing business.
• Experience analysing data, working with large data sets, and creating reports and presentations.
• Fluent English required.
• Strong interest in energy economics, power markets, and the energy sector.
• Project management experience and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; ability to plan, solve problems, communicate effectively, work autonomously, and adapt to shifting priorities.

Nice to have

• French or a Nordic language.
• Power BI proficiency.
