Location: Staten Island, New York, United States. Onsite community engagement role for a resident of one of the seven NYCHA developments on Staten Island, specifically within ZIP codes 10301, 10310, 10304, 10303, 10306, 10305, or 10314.
Salary: $20 per hour

What you will do
- Engage NYCHA residents and community partners to grow participation in Jobs-Plus programs.
- Coordinate with Career Advisors, employment coordinators, outreach staff, and program leadership.
- Identify and develop relationships with educational, vocational, social service, wellness, and employment partners.
- Collect, analyze, and report questionnaire and survey data on community needs and resident requests.
- Support social media and marketing campaigns that promote Jobs-Plus services and enrollment.
- Represent the center at community and partner events as a local liaison and ambassador.
Requirements
- High School or HSE Diploma.
- Customer service and community engagement experience.
- Must be a resident of a Staten Island NYCHA development in one of the specified ZIP codes.
- 1–2 years of related outreach experience, preferably with government, professional, or community-based organizations.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, outreach, strategic thinking, operational, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and knowledge of Staten Island NYCHA communities.
