Senior Technician - CVD Novellus Equipment Engineering (N2 Night Shift)

Location: Essex Junction, United States; onsite at the Fab 9 semiconductor manufacturing facility. N2 night shift runs from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on alternating weekly schedules: Wednesday to Friday in Week 1 and Wednesday to Saturday in Week 2. Candidates must be flexible to work day or night shifts.

Salary: $48,200–$83,200 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and location.

What you will do

• Monitor, sustain, test, and improve CVD semiconductor manufacturing equipment and assigned tool sets.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to operating procedures.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, computer, and process-related equipment issues.
• Recover equipment from process interruptions, document events, and complete end-of-shift pass-downs.
• Work with production team members, area engineers, and lead technicians to maintain manufacturing readiness.
• Follow Fab 9 environmental, health, safety, and security requirements while working in a cleanroom.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least four years of relevant electrical or mechanical experience, or a qualifying technical degree or military background combined with relevant experience.
• English fluency required for written and verbal communication.
• Basic reading, writing, computer navigation, Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook skills.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom for extended periods, wear required PPE, stand and walk for most of a 12-hour shift, and lift equipment and tools.
• Minimal travel and flexibility to work alternating day or night shifts.

Nice to have

• Four or more years of direct semiconductor manufacturing experience.
• Experience reviewing SPC charts, troubleshooting defects, and responding to out-of-control conditions.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and electrical diagrams.
• Experience with hand tools, structured problem-solving, continuous improvement, and procedure development.
• Associate degree or equivalent education in engineering technology, military training, or a trade.
