Mid Full-Stack Engineer (Java and AI)

Location: Zagreb, Croatia; flexible hybrid work model combining in-person collaboration with remote work.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain backend services and integrations using Java and Spring-based technologies.
• Build solutions that connect and synchronize data across internal and external systems.
• Contribute to internal products and AI-enabled applications for Revenue and Sales teams.
• Develop assistant-like tools and workflow automation features that reduce manual operational work.
• Work across backend and frontend tasks, including React and TypeScript applications.
• Write testable code, troubleshoot production issues, participate in code reviews, and improve system reliability in an agile environment.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience with production-level Java experience.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, clean code practices, testing, backend applications, APIs, or integrations.
• Understanding of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Interest in distributed systems, integrations, and AI-supported applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ownership, and ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spring or Spring Boot, React, TypeScript, or Python.
• Familiarity with AI development initiatives, distributed systems, APIs, synchronization services, or data pipelines.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD workflows, agile development, and PostgreSQL.
