Development Chemist and Industrial PhD (AI)

Location: Laboratories in Vejen, Denmark, with periodic residence in Copenhagen for PhD courses. Some travel is required.

What you will do

• Develop and implement an AI-assisted decision-support tool for wastewater treatment plants.
• Conduct non-target screening analysis of micropollutants.
• Apply AI-supported mechanistic modelling to environmental treatment processes.
• Predict micropollutant fate, removal efficiency, and associated risks.
• Carry out a four-year Industrial PhD in collaboration with the University of Copenhagen.
• Collaborate with chemists, technicians, wastewater treatment plants, universities, and Danish and international partners.

Requirements

• Relevant Master's degree, such as an M.Sc. in Chemistry.
• Knowledge of and interest in analytical chemistry.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Danish.
• Systematic and efficient working style, strong attention to quality and detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and flexible collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with method development.
• Experience with one or more chromatographic methods.
• Knowledge of or interest in AI.
