Senior Field Applications Engineer (Automotive Tier 1 & OEM)

What you will do

• Drive design-in activities for MCUs, SoCs, analog, and power products across automotive applications including IVI, ADAS, xEV, and vehicle controls.
• Act as the technical interface for OEM customers throughout automotive application development.
• Define customer system requirements, market-driven value propositions, product roadmaps, and next-generation automotive products.
• Guide customers on product architectures, partner ecosystems, vehicle networks, and optimal system designs.
• Lead projects with Sales, Marketing, Application Engineering, System Architecture, and global partner teams.
• Develop technical documentation and software-hardware demonstrators, perform laboratory measurements, and present technologies in technical seminars.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant FAE experience with automotive applications and customers.
• Knowledge of semiconductor products including SoCs, MCUs, analog, and power devices.
• Experience with Linux, QNX, AUTOSAR, RTOS, multithreaded programming, middleware, IPC, and operating-system concepts.
• Knowledge of automotive functional safety, cybersecurity, system-level power and thermal management, and vehicle architecture or network design.
• Hands-on experience with system bring-up, testing, debugging, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and standard laboratory equipment.
• Fluent Japanese is required for customer-facing work; conversation-level English is required for weekly internal reporting.
