Head of Engineering, Supply Chain (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own the technical strategy and architecture for inventory, logistics, warehouse, distribution, and repair management software.
• Lead an engineering organisation of approximately 25 engineers across management, QA, SRE, and data engineering, with planned growth beyond 30 members.
• Drive the platformisation of supply chain systems so operational data remains visible, trustworthy, and consistent across millions of POS terminals and multiple markets.
• Define architecture standards, engineering processes, quality metrics, reliability practices, and data integrity controls across squads.
• Collaborate with business and operations stakeholders to convert operational requirements into disciplined engineering solutions.
• Hire, mentor, and develop engineering managers and senior engineers while supporting international expansion.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years leading engineering teams through growth phases.
• At least 5 years of hands-on, production-level Java development experience.
• At least 5 years of experience managing engineering managers and leading organisations through other engineering leaders.
• Deep experience with supply chain, inventory, warehouse, or logistics software at scale, including systems managing hundreds of thousands of devices or more.
• Strong backend engineering, distributed systems, large-scale system design, stakeholder management, and product-minded problem-solving skills.
• Experience in fintech or another regulated industry and managing engineering teams of 20 or more members.
