My client is one of the leading integrated petrochemical companies in Eurasia. As part of its strategic technology development agenda, the company is establishing a state-of-the-art Flow Chemistry and Microfluidic Synthesis capability from the ground up and is seeking an internationally experienced Senior Researcher to play a key role in this initiative.
This is a unique opportunity to shape technology strategy, drive process development from concept to commercialization, and contribute to the creation of a new center of excellence in advanced chemical synthesis.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert support for industrial organic synthesis projects utilizing flow chemistry and microfluidic technologies across the full technology readiness spectrum (TRL 1-9).
Develop R&D roadmaps and define optimal technology pathways for new and existing projects.
Support equipment selection, vendor evaluation, and technology implementation decisions.
Conduct techno-economic assessments, including CAPEX and OPEX evaluations at early project stages.
Lead and support process scale-up, industrial implementation, and technology localization initiatives.
Provide scientific mentorship to internal R&D teams and contribute to capability building within the organization.
Collaborate with external technology partners, equipment suppliers, academic institutions, and engineering contractors.
Ideal Candidate Profile
-Extensive hands-on experience in flow chemistry, microreactor technologies, and industrial organic synthesis.
-Proven track record in process development, scale-up, technology transfer, and commercialization of chemical processes.
-Strong understanding of chemical process economics and industrial project evaluation.
-Experience in equipment selection, process design, and technology deployment.
-Ability to combine deep technical expertise with scientific leadership and stakeholder management.
-PhD or equivalent advanced degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline is highly preferred.
