TL;DR
Data Engineer - Data Conversions (SQL): Migrating insurance policy data from administration systems to a modern policy administration platform with an accent on SQL analysis, source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, and validated data loads. Focus on tracing and reconciling data across databases and files, resolving data quality issues, and using AI tooling throughout the migration lifecycle.
Location: Remote from Mexico, Peru, Chile, or El Salvador

What you will do
- Analyze and migrate insurance policy data from administration systems to a modern policy administration platform.
- Trace and reconcile information across databases, files, and multiple data layers.
- Build source-to-target mappings and transformation logic for legacy data.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues and deliver validated data loads.
- Support the full data migration lifecycle from discovery through production cutover.
- Use AI coding assistants and prompt engineering to accelerate analysis and development workflows.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on command of SQL, including the ability to write and reason through complex queries.
- Proficiency with SQL Server, queries, views, stored procedures, CTEs, and window functions.
- Experience with ETL processes, data mappings, transformations, validation, and cleansing.
- Experience with AWS RDS, S3, Secrets Manager, Excel, GitHub, Jira, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience handling sensitive financial data and personally identifiable information.
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple projects.

- Previous data migration or conversion project experience.
- Experience with policy administration systems.
- Background in insurance or financial services.
